Sking Hurts
The trip to Crested Butte was a lot of fun. I had been there almost every year of my life in the summer but this was my first trip to ski. I was going to write something long and detailed about it all, but all I really wanted to moan about was landing chest first going down the hill really fast on a blue course and knocking the wind out of me. Ow.
Skiing hurts.

The Air up There
The weather is perfect and the trees are green. Snow capped mountains all around and today is the day where I get to see a very special place in the middle of nowhere on keebler pass heading up to Aspen. Crested butte is a place where you feel like if civilization ended tomorrow, no one would hear about it up here. A nice break from the urban jungle of NYC for a few days.
Happy father's day indeed.

And this is why Central Colorado is the coolest place in North America. Wish I was there right now. (Photo from CB Webcam)
Independence Day 2003

Crested Butte, Colorado had a great parade and fireworks display this year and many people showed up to see it. The rafting excursion on Taylor river was a blast as well, despite the cold temperature of the water. Nathan held his own on paddling the raft down the rapids and even mocked other rafts that were stuck on rocks as we floated past them. Mild sunburns all around but mearly battle scars for a fun weekend.
