So when the circus comes to town it has become a tradition to run the elephants onto Manhattan since there really is no other way to get them here (trains don't come on the island). I met up with some friends the other night and spent a lot of time in the cold to get some picts of this event. When the elephants came running out they went at full speed. I am here to tell you those lil bastards can haul.
I can honestly say it's the closest to being in a riot or mob I have ever come. People were all about running to keep up, PETA was there to protest the treatment of the elephants and cameras were in abundance.
When the big guys came running out I got a few pictures and then my battery died. I filmed a few min of video but really, it's just chasing elephant asses down 34th street.
Yesterday when I tried to get the pictures off my camera memory card, it occurred to me that with my laptop dead and sent off to Apple, I have no way of getting my photos off the camera card.
